Record Producer, Ras Anthony Gordon, has been a lover of reggae
music from his youthful days while growing up in Kingston,
Jamaica, where the neighborhood sound systems such as
Socialist Roots, El Paso and Ray Symbolic ruled the dancehall.
Some of the hottest artists of the day such as Dillinger,
Big Youth, Trinity, Linval Thompson, Dennis Brown and Gregory
Isaacs, were featured at every session.
In 1976, Gordon migrated to New York where the main source
of Caribbean musical culture was radio programming with disc jockeys such as Gil Bailey,
Ken Williams and others. Main stream radio personality,
Frankie Cracker, used to feature lots of Bob Marley selections
and, over the years, Anthony Gordon became a collector of reggae
music now boasting an impressive line up of titles.
After relocating to South Florida, Gordon
met Bernard Hall, electronic engineer and sound operator of Chad Supreme
Disco. Bernard invited Anthony to join forces in establishing
Chad Supreme Recording Studio in Miami. Gordon was initiated
as a producer with songs like "Plague" and "Wash"
